OK so I jumped in the car and put Jeremy Vine on the radio half an hour ago.

He was mid into a interview with some called Steve who owned swingers site.

But it did not say it was this....as I said I missed the beginning.

But what he said was "all members of the site will be required to submit a face picture showing their hands holding a handwritten piece of paper with certain details of the website.

It sounded very familiar to me!

In swinging someone has got to see your face eventually (wouldn't swing without a face pic in advance anyway would you?).

FAB have to accord itself with ICO and data-protection law.

I heard a bit about that...but also on the context that putting credit card and passport details would be a bad idea.

Maybe this is a compromise.

But as I said I didn't catch the full interview. ...so if someone can get it it would be good to hear

Or a full body photo...and how many are not photo verified...for whatever their reasons....this said "all members will be required to do so"

Agree- It quite clearly states Face or body (up to sender) with a written username.

This is for Gender clarification to cut down on false profiles and make admin easier for all.

As we all know many fakes still get through on the net. However at the end of day it's the users choice to join or not.

Before people had a choice...I myself was but for personal reasons after nearly 3 years of being so I asked admin to remove it.... which they did and I have been verified enough times for people to know I'm not fake

We like photo veris, I'm actually off the opinion that members should require to be photo verified before being allowed to post pics on the site.

This may only work for face pics, but admin shouldn't allow face pics until the profile has been photo verified (including face), otherwise how the fuck can admin accept the pics as being genuine.

Yes of course these things can be faked, but let's make it a touch less easy.

I don't see what difference it makes either, particularly when its easy to cut and paste a sign in to a pic!

I think as it stands...they are meant to check if the photo sent in matches the ones they already have previously uploaded.

But if they have the time and manpower to do this is another question

I have never stated it was...but there is a link posted but you have to install the app to do so which I cannot do on my phone.....maybe someone who has listened to the full interview could confirm this ?

I just listened to it, he didn't mention a name. The post you quoted mentioned Fab and you said it wasn't a rumour so why I assumed you were talking about Fab too.

I'm going off what I stated in the op...if things get mixed in quotes it sometimes happens. Both if you read my op it gives a full account of what I heard.

We've met a few people without seeing face pics and never send them.

I'll put my face pics up after I've seen them given by Admin, volunteers and mods...

What was the purpose of having the pic though? Any site can introduce their own ideas and restrictions but having benefits to their customers for submitting to them is key. We've already got changes from 2018, due to the stupid Conservative law on adult sites, so minimizing customer inconvenience is important.

Strikes me that it wouldn't be hard to get around - photoshopping a pic isn't really that difficult - not that anyone on here would ever be involved in such skulduggery! lol

NB - none of my pics have been 'photoshopped' ...erm except the b/w bum shot!
