"hi how are you" is a very uninspiring opening message. I'm not suprised you don't get many responses.

West Midlands

Suspect neither of you would get a reply from a lot of people, good luck anyway

I get about a hundred "hi, how are you?" messages a day, I delete all of them.

If I get any graphic messages I delete them and often block the sender.

Out of you and your mate I guess you fare slightly better as I don't immediately block you but the results are the same - neither gets a reply.

" Hi. How are you?' messages are shockingly high. Along the lines of 'Are you okay?'. They just blend into the hundreds.

I tend to write a longwinded polite message. Pointing out why I messaged the person. Things that I enjoyed about their profile. What I'm looking for on here and ending with a hope that they get back to me, but if not, I'll know I'm not their type and hope they have fun on the site .

That's a bit harsh isn't it?!

Yes, it is a bit harsh. Fab is meant to be fun, not a full time job. I am not prepared to spend hours replying to people who mostly haven't read my profile and who have not made an effort when they contact me.

Harwich / Colchester

Make the message unique to the profile so it doesnt seem like a copy & paste, dull or half hearted message.

Add some info that they have put into the bio into the message to show & prove you have read it all .i.e (ours) cards against humanity, dom/rough, geeky (lol)

If they've put key words to use in messages make sure you use them.

Be polite but not trashy; flirtatious but not rude. Not one liners, but some thought into it

Good luck

Hi here's my cock pic.

That there seems to be popular, and if it's not broke, don't fix it.

I see your point.

Fab as a full time job conjures up images of day-long shagging sessions, not answering countless messages!

Btw op, wasn't Voorhees the surname of Jason in the Friday 13th films?

Maybe that's why you haven't had much luck!

It's either that or your ski mask...
