The gravelly bit next to the shed

Hi im a virgin with air bnb and just wondered if the price you see is what you pay,how does that work?

(yes tried google but got bored of the pop ups and first hand knowledge is better)

Be a little careful where you choose to stay, they're not governed by the same criteria when it comes to duty of care as say a hotelier is.

The two fairly recent Dubai apartment fires had airbnb tennants in them.

Always pay Air BnB direct,; do not be tempted to pay anyone that contacts you direct. If they do, it will be a scam.

And just check the local tourist board; Air BnB is illegal in some places.

When you have your results up. Always check the map and find out where it is as the places on the list arent always close to where you want to stay. The places that have a thunder symbol next to them are regarded as better quality!

There was a guy on there renting out the cupboard under his stairs! Lol. Had a single mattress, lamp and nice paint job but still a cupboard! Lol

Used it a few times and it's really good. Got great value on a Bergen property and saved a fortune compared with hotel prices.

I had 1 unpleasant experience when i was in Mumbai - not keen on airbnb now.

I rent out an apartment on Airbnb. Always make sure the transaction is done thought Airbnb. Ignore any offers to send money outside of that otherwise you won't get it back.

All the people I have had have been absolutely fine.

Only used Airbnb in this country but have stayed in some really lovely places. Ww have been lucky so far but would thoroughly recommend.

It is actually for this country, i only asked as i saw a price then percentage this and extra that and started not to make sense with out explanations etc.

Hubby is in London Monday to Friday and he is airbnb his accomodation down there. He's pretty happy with it

We have only ever paid the nightly rate + the service charge. Always found bargains
