I'm not that fussy. Might be the particular on I stayed in. It consisted of a tiny reception area staffed by one ranther unwelcoming receptionist and not much else apart from the rooms. Bedding consisted of a winter weight duvet in a heated room! I only use a medium weight duvet at home on the coldest of Winter nights. Breakfast in the morning came like an airline meal dropped off outsie the door. I've since found a Premier Inn a few miles down the road which I'll try next time.

You seem to miss the point, Travelodge hotels are priced on the basis of not having excessive amounts of staff....

They are a budget hotel chain....and good luck with Premier Inn, as they work on the same basis, what you don't spend on excessive frills you can pass on to customers in their very affordable room prices.

And a winter duvet in a Travelodge room?

Are we talking about the same Travelodge company here?

Perhaps this is the whole philosophy of the company, to cater for swingers and not much else.

O o O oo

I always get a bad back with Travel lodge beds, Premier is ok though, plus have brighter rooms.

I can't see how the TL can possibly know you don't like a winter weight quilt though

I've used both Premier Inn and Travel Lodge.. The £9 room was great... really comfy bed.. Premier beds are comfy too.. Altho a local one I booked for a meet wasn't so comfy and ended up getting a refund as both myself and my meet were im complete agony from it.
