Has anyone had any adverse side affects from taking HRT ? I will go into more detail if anyone replies

Your GP would be the best person to discuss this with.

Cancer is clearly a common potential side effect so it would be your for you (and your family), with shoved medical advice, to decide whether the potential risks outweigh the benefits.

Tried to get an appt but nothing available for ages
