Your online character to your true life character.

If a forum member was to meet you would they recognise you from your forum character or do you portray a very different version of yourself online?

I'm told I'm pretty much the same. If I don't know someone terribly well online I probably will seem quieter to them if we met socially as we wouldn't have much to talk about, but for those I'd chat to and have a bit of banter with regularly, I'd be comfortable just being myself with in person, and continue having the same craic and banter.

The same. But more importantly, is the profile the same as the personality.

I think that there are a lot of people who have an online persona ranging from anything from a complete opposite, to a characateur of themselves in real life.

Usually the clue is a description of how they want to be perceived or how they feel they should act in the profile name.

I'm more confident in person than I am online. I'm wary of posting my opinions etc on social media quite a lot of the time. My friends are always telling me that I'm funnier and more quick witted in person than I am online. My sense of humour doesn't come across well on FAB, and I probably seem a bit dull!
