Preconception of Fab and now

What was you hoping to get out of Fab when you first signed up?

And is that different to what you get out of it now?

I was hoping to find a regular friend with benefit but alas, never happened and the search continues. I do find the forums and it's regulars good to chat. Often have a good laugh on here so that was an unexpected benefit to the site

I can't answer for everyone and I know I will get a lot of argument, but I have been here for 9 years and would say the last 4 years on here has been dire.

Full of men playing away expecting instantaneous sex without putting in any effort, and then there are the one's thinking the women here are just free prostitutes, hence, I really have given up meeting on here

I had absolutely no idea at all what swinging was about. I chose fab mainly cos I like things from the 'swinging 60's' and 'fab' and 'groovy' and 'way out' were things from then so I joined. It's been good. I've met loads of people and chatted with many many more.

i went to club as a single before knowing about fab, i got told about it..didnt know what to expect

i found my sociable side, my fun side, my kink side, my inclusive side, explored my bi side, my club and group play side, ive had fwb's, casual anonymous encounters, great events, socials and venues and i used to find the forums a laugh, a real laugh, however if it wasnt for the lovely friends i have made here, over the 2 1/2 years and wanting to keep in touch and the club listings of whats going on, i would probably leave, i feel like its done its thing for me and its not that welcoming here any more, the attitude of some people on the forums makes me want to vomit and its less of a fun place, than it used to be...

I signed up for some no strings fun but instead found someone amazing and had a wonderful 6 year relationship with him, on here and vanilla. That has recently ended but I am still here keeping in touch with the lovely friends we made along the way.

And I have to say, in five years, I've done that and some. I've met some of my closest friends, my current partner, attended some incredible parties and clubs and socials and absolutely loved it. I was totally the same... in my naivety thought it would be more straight forward and genuine.... in the fact that we are all kind of here for the same thing, so no need for bullsh*t, but was wrong.
