Ok so likely asked before. As a guy I often want to shave to wax to make it better for the other person as well. However the itching If i trim the cut ends itch like crazy and of course if all off that itches with re growth.

Any advice or tips on how to do either and keep the after effects minimal?

I shave, and most of the time when I get in the bath I'll go over it again to stop it getting to the itchy stage

I guess it's a once you start you can't stop. However shaving is a bit scary.

Tried shaving once and never again. I wax every few weeks though and no itching.

Waxing! Gets less painful the more you do it, and hair also lessens over time.

I guess it depends how coarse your hair is and how delicate your skin is ... i dont find wax growth to be itchy but there is still a day or 2 wheres its uncomfortable as it comes back through the skin ... i just cant even consider shaving because my skin is far to sensitive to shave until its full grown back anyway so for the sake of 1 day smooth whats the point

Being a guy you could probably just trim rather than be bald ... if its itchy with a trim i would guess you are cutting it too short maybe? You can get a razor that has a bikini area mini trimmer on it which could work ... maybe even use conditioner on the hair to soften it up a bit?

My hair is less but i find the completely hair free period is never long enough for me which i hate ... i really wish i had the money and pain threshold for electrolysis

Laser is supposed to be good too - though I don't know how that compares price-wise to electrolysis

I use veet for thighs and pelvic area, everywhere except your personals I find no itch or ingrowns at all this way, if I use a razor on my pelvis I get quite bad itching and ingrowns

Lazer works by targetting the darker pigment which it assumes to be hair but it can be cheaper (although less permanent too)

I have quite tanned skin but alot of blonde hairs (which i feel even the hot wax misses) so would never get the full effect and it would probably be more painful for me than fair skinned people too

Laser doesn't work if you're blonde. Tried that too.

Interesting! Well I'm learning a lot about depilatory methods today.
