Everyone is out so I'm not cooking tonight. I'll probably have a ham salad roll, or maybe tuna salad.

Well, as it's a Saturday on a weekend when I have my son, tonight is burger night.

It's something we've been doing since Easter, mainly because I have to make a packed lunch for him for Monday morning, and he likes to have a soft roll to take to school - so by buying a pack of 6 from the supermarket, I can use them up by doing him sandwiches for lunch over the weekend, and we have a nice burger, with chips on a Saturday evening.

Tomorrow night I will be cooking chinese

Maidstone

I made some onion relish yesterday using six onions, halved and thinly sliced. Fried gently in olive oil with a couple teaspoons of sugar until nicely caramelised. Then I added a few glugs of red-wine vinegar and four tablespoons of (no peel) marmalade. Cooked it down until sticky and jammy. I had it with hot-dogs last night and tonight some grilled chicken thighs. Good hamburger relish too and will be taking a jar with me to friends for a BBQ lunch tomorrow...
