I'll always remember this day, 12 hours of blistering 80s rock n pop, who else sat through 12 hours of Live Aid, our street was filled with the music as people opened their windows and turned the TV up full.

An epic event on a global scale

Remember it well

Was travelling to Blackpool on holiday with my parents and cousin

Was wearing my brand new Sony Walkman with FM radio when the Quo came on

Never watch it all as the Pleasure Beach had more appeal at that time for us

Happy days

Watched it on the PYE TV at home.

It's even better watching now on full blast through a sound bar

There and to the left a bit

I was on duty there for half the day as a Special Constable - didn't really get to see much but remember the vibe being joyous - watched most of it either later after I'd gone off duty or on video the next day. To be honest apart from The Style Council and a couple of others there weren't that many acts I was that bothered about, although the cause itself was of course fantastic.

The moment when Geldof sings 'And the lesson today is how to die' and then just holds it was pure electric!!

North Norfolk area

Was one of the stewards there, had to take turns being down in front of the stage......deaf for days afterwards.

The fire hoses were fun.....wet t-shirts

Yup, think if memory serves me right, when he sat at the piano in Philly he said "I was in London a few hours ago, funny old world innit?"
