I told her I had never been to one, she was shocked

Car boots are quite niche aren't they? I'm not surprised by that, I think I've only ever been to about 2 in my life!

I've never seen 'The Godfather' or watched even one episode of TOWIE, Made in Chelsea or any other programmes like that.
