I have been a swinger for to many years to remember but my basic rule to out the fakes is...............lets meet for a neutral pub chat and drink.

Yes you could say its a bit drawn out but i am a single guy and i find this is the best way to gain a couples confidence in you that you are genuine and want to meet rather than pic or friend hunt.

We single guys are in the majority not the minority so you have to be better than the other guys on here looking for fun.

So what better way than on a nice evening a quiet country pub drink as a get to know you.....at very least you have a pleasant evening out at best you might meet again for fun.

its not for everyone but it's my preferred method too. That way you get a clear indication of you're really likely to get on or not and the 'real' you is similar to 'online' you. It's not a mandatory rule for me but my preference if possible.

Glad i am not alone on this .....and apart from clubs which do nothing for me i think a quiet get to know you for a single guy is a great way of proving you are genuine..........

I always meet my meets in a pub beforehand, whether there might be fun on the cards or not that night. I can tell a lot by whether they are happy meeting in my chosen location (real ale pub) or want to go to Pop World.

As the OP says if all else fails, you have a nice night at the pub.

I agree to the principle behind this method and of course meet people at a neutral pub for the very same thing.... But there is another side of the coin. Some fabbers just constantly want to meet for socials, like a lot! They are not interested in swinging (some even put this on their profile) and they post status updates daily asking if anyone wants coffee. Each to their own and all but my main aim isn't for fan to be another social networking site, it's to meet peole for all kinds of debauchery! Fab was here before social media and I often wonder if since the rise of those, the culture here has changed for some.

If you are absolutely adamant that you both want a social neutral ground runs the risk of both of you going home extremely frustrated.

A social meet in the nearest cafe to you house is best policy. Still easy enough to do a runner but knowing that if you want you can be tearing into each other within minutes..

I don't use a social to verify that someone is genuine. By then, we've usually chatted on the phone. Plus they have veris. I do it to see if there is sexual chemistry and if we get along in real life

I totally agree both for couples and for single males and females.....no obligation just easy banter and a fact finder if you are compatible for what both partys are looking for.

At the end of the evening its a cheers we will be in touch no awkward moments no antaganism no expectation ........the thrill is that phone call later to say......lets meet we like you xx.

We meet guys for a social first. It could be in a pub or a cafe, daytime is my preference though. However we are also happy to meet socially at a club too.

We dont use it to out the fakes though. We use it to see if we all like each other because we dont send face pics. By the time we meet for a social we will have chatted by Fab for a while anyway.

Great way to get to know someone and like each other and i can see where you are coming from.......but like txt and phone calls there is no substitute for a direct in the flesh meeting with no commitment.

Well I can't invite you to your own house can I

It would probably be a hotel bar or a bar close to a hotel as I wouldn't drive that far without a overnight stay

If you don't talk to them both you ain't going to be going to the social or the meet.. If you only talk to the guy it's a nailed on fake

Yes thats why we always meet socially first for a drink and chat. Also we get chatting to guys at the club and either play then or arrange to meet to play another time.

Most of our meets have been at someone's home. We never guarantee sex or anything, more a see how we get on and things go.

We've never felt pressured or awkward, infact it's often a more relaxed environment than a busy pub.

That's not to say, that we haven't or won't meet socially first.

We prefer a social meet first if possible, just to see if we all get on really. Depending on how much time we have, we may play that night of arrange for another time. But It always surprises us how many people, especially single guys want to meet but only if you say you will definately play that night, lots of people, even single guys don't want to meet for a social. They message us when we are already out and it's late on and then ask us to call in theirs on the way home! Yeah right. ?? Make an effort at first and we would gladly call occasionally

Absolutely my rule.

Socials will always be my first choice.

Ive never slept with anyone without knowing them first and just because I'm on fab, that will never change.

If i can't get on with you face to face or you're not willing to try and get to know my mind and how i tick, then we'd not be going any further.

I'd always meet someone in a public place first, even if the meeting ends up somewhere private later on. Met my first kinky play partner, my now husband and my girlfriend in public for a first meeting. The play partner and hubby both ended up coming back to mine later in the night but I wouldn't have started with that.

I prefer a social meet first either coffee or a drink . I wouldn't go for a one if I didn't think I'd meet to play . For me it's about making a connection .So far for me that method has worked .
