They can be great at times but then there's days like today when only one subject seems to dominate, the fun and frolics has long gone from the forums and people seem out for arguing or just being sarcastic, this has made it very unappealing to anyone new looking to post a thread or comment on some one else's.

I still look around and and see if there's a subject that catches my eye but they're coming very few and far between lately.

When there's a fun thread then it's unmissable, lots of fun threads can spin off one. But when you get the constant repeat questions then it's tiresome. But most of the time some good people keep the fun going x

Yes I love the forums ... You just have to know when to leave some alone I find . It should be light hearted fun and you can learn a lot and not everything is about sex and I like that .

Not everyone is gonna get everything people say to one another, it doesn't make it a bad thing, it means they share something. Surely that is a good thing that people have bonded over things and are happy to make reference to it?

I used to. I don't find it that addictive anymore. A lot I liked have left. So I'm on and off now. Still enjoy it sometimes, but can leave it alone now

A few interesting posts in this thread. People who actually meet, enjoy each others company and back each other up... nothing wrong with that. However the problems start when they systematically gang up on individuals who refuse to follow them or do as they say.

Many people have left or don't use forums due to being "chased" out...

Addiction - A few forumites appear to have made the forums their life. Trying to control the forums by constantly creating multiple threads on a daily basis. (Prehaps a limit should be introduced) They become bitter combined with personal insecurities and start lashing out at people.

Therefore really awkward for other users... they have to think twice before posting.

Correction:

Mods are great and do their best, but they do miss things. As the site gets more and more busy it becomes harder to catch people. On some occasions by the time they do take action the damage is already done.

Talking of addiction...

I've been a (relatively) active user of the forums for over 6 years. there are very few people on here who have been here longer, and I suspect that they will agree that we see people come, get stuck in, start posting, start posting more, form a group of friends, meet said friends, become a strong fixture on the forums... then after a while things start dropping off, people stop logging in so much, or meet their SO on here and decide to leave the world of Fab, the forums quieten down, fewer and fewer posts where there are constant love-ins.

Then it all starts again.

When people accuse Fab of having cliques, I always think 'which one?'
