Just brought H her first pair of dms for her birthday. They are the special edition anachry boots \m/

My first dms where 6 hole cherry reds. I also had black ones, brown ones and ox bloods.

Oh yeah, I used to have a pair of 9 hole black ones that I bought when I got my first motorbike in 1980. They lasted for about 8 yrs until both soles got punctured

I've never had a pair! I have big feet so always though they'd look ridiculous

I did buy my daughter the most adorable DM Chelsea boots when she was 3. I buy DMs as her school shoes now, they are on the expensive side, but they last and it's the only shoes she can't ruin in half a term. She's a lot harder in her footwear than her brother!

I still have my first pair plus many of the others I've owned over the years. They were bottle green nubuck originally but that wore off over the years so they're now a dark green soft leather. With ribbons instead of laces from twenty plus years ago.

The problem with spell checkers is that they only check the spelling of the word and have no understanding that you are using the right word.

Martians is, in fact, correctly spelt, however, what I believe the OP really meant was Dr Martens

Other examples where spell check falls down is where 'your' is used instead of 'you're', 'there' instead of 'their' or 'they're' and so on

To your original post OP, I've never owned a pair myself - they've never appealed to me - and so I'm afraid I can be of absolutely no assistance whatsoever - sorry!
