Who knows how it works it saying point the camera at the kik code to start chatting how am I supposed to do that ???

You need someone's username to start chatting with them press the plus sign and it will offer you choices of how to add

I have been chatting to people but I was just messing around and come across it saying this maybe you don't have to scan

The scan bit is if you are physically with someone & you want to swap Kik details.

Otherwise just do name searches
