Here's something I'd like to hear different views about, from a ladies perspective of course...

Do any women enjoy public attention from guys?

This could be in many forms but commonly is a wolf whistle, a horn beep from a passing car, or calling out comments.

We're led to believe that all women hate such a sexist, demeaning act, which is easy to understand from say a fat, ugly, aging yob shouting out of a van.. "hey, get your tits out luv!"

So is there anything you like when in public, from complete strangers passing by? Is there any tasteful way of expressing thoughts of.. 'oh my god, you are incredibly hot'

I don't like it... some days I get awfully anxious about going out, and if a stranger makes a sly comment as they go past or shouts out of a car window it makes me feel worse, especially as when it does happen it happens on days when I look/feel like crap, so it comes across as mocking. I'd just rather not be noticed.

And I never look incredibly hot.

Wolf whistling and calling out comments can be rather unpleasant to many women. In my city this is now recorded as misogyny hate crime.

I don't mind someone paying me attention in public.

Prefer it not to be in the form of shouting at me in the street, unless they want some back!!

In my job, what would be classed by many as sexual harassment is par of the course! It's mostly just banter but if they're going to give it, they must expect a come back and that may not be quite what they want

I have no problem putting guys back in their place.

I really don't get offended by a cheeky smile, a wink or a "hi". I'm a friendly kinda woman and if I guy winked, and I thought he was hot, I'd wink back.

Some women think it's very sexist!

A guy did follow my boobs around Waitrose last week though, yes my top was revealing but he made it way to obvious.

I've always wondered that - most of the time if the vehicle is travelling at speed down a semi-crowded street, do the men that do this really expect a woman to think "wow, he must be looking at me"! Haha. It's rather ill-thought out at best.

It doesn't bother me, but I usually ignore it. Sometimes I smile, sometimes I change my route so I don't have to go back past them.

I get a lot of sly looks that make me laugh a little. It's usually my boobs they look at, or face then boobs.

Shouting things sounds rather intimidating though. Thankfully, I've only had compliments called to me rather than being told to get them out etc
