So I think it's quite obvious most gay/bi men on here don't read your profile text. Just look at pics and inbox "fancy a suck?"

Is this the case for women? How much of a profile text do you women read? Also how much is too much?

I tend to read it all anyway and then reply or not accordingly.

I will read a profile providing it isn't too long or full of negativity.

Our experience is that very few read profiles whatever their gender, sexual orientation or relationship status.

I read the whole profile and if it's not for me I leave it alone,and the same for people reading mine,ide rather people pass me by if I'm not for them,I think it's all about respect and politeness,and this is all said in a nice way

When we receive a message and the answer is on our profile, we tell them to read our profile. Many still struggle and go on asking further stupid questions. That's when the block function becomes handy.

I read the profiles, but I'm new the novelty may wear off.

I have stopped replying to one liners though. I personally like some humour ,so pretty much if the profiles made me smile I'm more likely to reply.

Some people call this behaviour "making conversation" in order to see if it leads anywhere. Otherwise you could find yourself in a situation where a guy messages you and says "I have read your profile, we share common interests, i will visit tomorrow after 7.".

I dont. read profiles. For me anyway that works out and if I was to read every profile before I messaged, it would be a full time job.

I'm sure those that message 'fancy a sick' are just chancers, it can't work surely.

I find many dont read my profile, its quite obvious with the questions they ask, trouble is im now in a catch 22 because I think ive covered everything but now my profile is quite long which puts people off reading it all

Due to a severe lack of interest in anything that isn't me and an acutely short attention span I will only read the first four lines of a profile.

If I get to the bottom and there is a nice picture of a fajiner I may go back up to see if they mention that they like it up the shitter. Hope this helps.

I will generally always read a profile.

However it can take a lot for me to actually reply to a message.

I only get messages from men, so most are the one-liner type. Unless I'm in the right mood, they won't get read until the user is offline, then I'll delete.

I do try and reply, but sometimes I honestly cba

Everyone at least looks at a profile surely. You have to in order to message it.

This constant complaining about not reading profiles is ridiculous. I read them all but the great great majority still don't have anything other than 'this is me and this is what I'm looking for'. A profile that tells you something about the profile holder is rare indeed.

I have no idea I have looked at the profile of someone complaining that it's not been read to see that there's nothing comment worthy about it.

Usually the PHBR complaints relate to, 'they didn't use my magic word', 'they didn't send face pics even though I haven't got any' and more likely 'I'm a single woman/couple, how dare someone message me that isn't "exceptional"'.

I read as much as I need to. I scan read stuff. If I open a profile and it's got 1 line, or you have to scroll down it's a no.

I like enough to get a vibe of someone, not chapter and verse

When we allow guys to contact us, our views jump over 200 a day and we have to reply to sum 30 to 50 messages. So we've tried to provide many of these answers in a one page profile.

Messages that are one liners, text speak and non profile readers are simply deleted; persistent offenders are blocked. If someone likes one liners and gobbledygook text code, go for it, we're not so simply adjust or go into conversation mode.

We've experienced that reading a profile, can often give you the feeling of what that person is like when it comes to communication. Those who fail to see this often become confused when their lack of effort message gets deleted.

We just simply reciprocate the same effort. You display none, you get none back.
