Who'll you'll always have a 'thing' for, regardless of the passage of time or the circumstances you're both in.

Can anyone else sympathise?

Yep, i can! I don't know if it's a female thing though. I've not spoken to many men who would say similar things

Yes, kind of. If I have a thing for them, there's a reason and those things rarely change.

You've probably shared things and experiences that tie you together. its nice.

Absolutely. I had an affair with a woman that ended due to personal circumstances. We are still close today, madly in love with each other but cannot be together. Awesome memories.

Aye there's someone I'll always have a soft spot for - but it'll never be sexual. Just a good friend who I'll always look out for and I know she will me too. Known her for years since I was a kiddie but sadly distance means we don't meet as often as I'd like but we always keep in touch!

completely sympathise! over 25 years have passed and i still refuse to set foot in a certain town, ive missed friends weddings ,christenings, all sorts, because im still convinced if i clapped eyes on them again i would feel exactly the same about them...which wouldn't be a good thing!

and yes,i do know how daft that is!

Yes.... I know he still has one hell of a thing for me too but too much water under that bridge, we will only ever be friends from a distance now.

All be it ones who just occasionally have the most insanely passionate sex in secret

He feels the same about me. We first met around six years ago, didn't see each other or speak very much for around two years, met up again last August and it was like nothing ever changed.

Totally. I've known her since I was 10 years old and only found out a few years ago she had a massive crush on me when we were younger, I felt the same way about her. Neither of us told one another though. We still speak to this day and often wonder what might have been. She is married now with two kids, but she will always have a special place in my heart.

I'm all Casey said - except for one person.

As someone else said on here. He's my home - and I'm his.

We'll never be a couple now tho. And I'm ok with that.
