Lanark / Surrounding

Okay so now my head is battered. I have 10 people. 6 are going shift work. 12 hrs per shift. 1 on nights, two on days. four perm day workers. 4 days on 4 days off and four nights on and so on. Only issue is every other month they will be working every weekend. How can i write this so its even and still incorporate day workers into the equation to cover weekends. Would a 3 on 4 off be better.

Brighton - even Hove!

Use a grid and do some colouring in.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

OP, that reads like one of the GCSE questions!

Get yourself a big planner, they're not expensive. Give each person a code or colour and then start plotting the chart. Once the pattern is established look at what would happen if someone is off on leave or sick and see how much flex you need to add.

Oh my god rotas are one of my favorite parts of my job

I could help if it wasn't late and my brain wasnt switched off.

Have you worked out your man hours and if its actually doable? Is there scope for any movement on shift length?

Simple

Switch them all to 4 on 4 off

2 days 2 nights

Problem solved

The simplest solution which is how my work would do things, is pay the ones doing the month of weekends more shift pay
