So i was just wondering what most people do about names. Do you tell people your real name while chatting on line, on the phone, when you meet? Or do you keep that secret and play under a pseudonym?

we toyed with using pseudonyms when we started out but then decided we would look daft if we forgot and didn't respond when it was used so always used our own names

If I intend to meet someone they are given my real first name.... but it is my choice to share my name with them. It gets on my tits when I see people using other people's real names.

Nope.. although couples profile now we have.. and thing is I was all confused when a meet called me by my real name..

I was so used to Katie.

I use Calimero on here mostly now as its my slave name.. but I normally get Cali.. unless I am in trouble.

Always, cant see the point in making a name up as some have said id forget who i was supposed to be. As for surname there is a million and one with the same surname as me so its hardly going to stand out.

Do be careful if you give your MSN to anyone, cos you have to put in a surname. My surname is very unusual and a good friend could google me and as a company director my full name business add and phone number were there for all to see.

It's now fictitious

some get so mad at the men thay meet when find out its not there real name and have meet them 2 or 3 times feel thay have been lied too .... i know this as had a couple mail me saying how mad she was calling out his name in passion was not real name , lol

We use our real first names as not only would it be hard to remember our own fake names, we would also have to remember not to slip up when speak to each other.

We dont use surnames at all, as there is no need to.

Don't use my real name at first. Will tell them if meeting regular. I've found most don't use their real names. Couples keep slipping up & calling each other by real names, and no. of key-rings etc seen with different names on. Even met a couple of people twice under different names on different profiles.

I use my real name, a very select few know my surname but thats it. I have enough trouble remembering peoples names for the profile name without trying to remember that John is really Dave
