Ive come acrosss a few profiles that have blocked me and i have never interacted with them at all.

Is this common on here?

How do you know not local if you cant see their profile?

Also it could be someone you sent a message before but now they have changed their profile name so you dont realise?

They may have reported a pic or a forum post in the past ... often admin just block both profiles from seeing each other after this to avoid further interaction

How do you know not local if you cant see their profile?

You may have expressed an interest in something in the Chat rooms or Forum's that individuals do not like?

As an example, in the chat rooms we often see "Straight" men saying how they would like to suck a cock or take a cock. Clearly they are not "Straight" so be we block them just in case!

If you didn't view the forums you would not know you had been blocked...as you would not ever see the person who has blocked you.

We all say things here that someone will take exception to....so hence you got blocked...it happens move on

I block people if i find their statuses offensive

For example they talk about women on here being sluts or slag off fat girls ... i dont need this person to message me to know i dont like their disrespectful attitude and we wont get on so i am proactive by blocking them to save both our time and to make sure i dont forget about it once they have taken it down

I use the private notes feature in the same way, so if someone messages me I know why I'm deleting the message. I find with a massive block list, into which I'll occasionally peek because I'm a forgetful yet nosey person, I just can't recall why they're there in the first place.

I would say sometimes it's pointless. There's probably lots of people who have blocked me I have no idea about. It's like the finding out accidentally that someone from the forums has blocked me. I sometimes block people who I know I will never meet. Especially the ones that keep poping up my way and I waste time looking at their profiles only to realise that I had already ruled them out.

It's a way of tiding up the "paper work".

We don't like blocking and it bothers me when we get blocked. And it's not like we're the type of people who are going to make a nuisance of ourselves or get in someone's way, so not sure what blocking us really achieves. We have blocked people as an absolute last resort. I would not block anyone on the forum because that restricts forum discussion.

I've blocked plenty simply because i'm not what they're looking for eg not interested in married men or they're only looming for BBC etc. I can only assume that's the reason some people block me too, because i don't match their criterea

And it's not like we're the type of people who are going to make a nuisance of ourselves or get in someone's way, so not sure what blocking us really achieves. We have blocked people as an absolute last resort. I would not block anyone on the forum because that restricts forum discussion.

I block lots that I just come across on the forums, simply because I don't like their attitude. Saves hassle should they decide to contact me.

You don't wish to meet them for whatever reason so you block to prevent contact.

So if you don't get butt hurt why make a big deal out of being blocked. If you've posted something on the threads someone didn't agree with or like then possibly they blocked you for that that's not for no reason if we come across a profile and we really don't think there for us we will block them it's not rude it just stops them popping up on our searches and stops them from contacting us don't see the point in profiles that were not interested in keep popping up or them contacting us.

It's not being rude it's simply they wish to keep themselves private.

It's like drawing the curtains at home so people can't see in. Is that rude behaviour? I think not.

They have excluded solely you but others as well.

They have NOT offended you or been rude. It is you who has taken offence at someone else's wish to remain private.

I do this for those that very clearly won't be interested in me or vice versa because it cuts down on search results being filled with empty hope. Someone looking for only 40+ is not overly interesting is probably best being blocked
