Humiliation / revenge porn

Hi it's Mr Z. It's recently brought to my attention that a couple we were friends with have split up and the male sent the female's family pictures of her having sex.

This has troubled me somewhat mainly because the intimacy and swinging aspect of my life requires huge trust and I wouldn't dream of breaking that trust if I broke up with Mrs Z. Me and Mrs Z have argued like other couples over the years and tried to hurt each other in the process but we have never once threatened to embarrass one another with our swinging exploits - it's simply too much of a breach of trust and lacks dignity.

Why do some people do it after being in a loving relationship for years? I get that hate is a strong emotion but surely if you split up then you may want the upper hand or look good (ego) but why humiliate that person?

In the scenario above, nobody cheated and the reason for the breakup was that the relationship got stale and arguments were financial pre any divorce.

Just thought I'd get that off my chest and have a moan

they still have feelings for that person but now they're hate, maybe they always hated them and were just using them? idk.

i just photoshopped keanu reeves onto my ex in pics and was happy enough with that. plus it made me laugh when i felt like dying.

It's the hate aspect I cannot grasp. Falling out of love is fine but wanting to ruin some bodies life because of it?

I think you are either that kind of person or you aren't. Personally I wouldn't dream of doing anything like that,it's a bit of a shit trick to pull.

It's a control thing and keeps the person in their life. You used the words revenge porn in the title. Vengeance is consuming. Hate is passionate. It's properly over when there is indifference.

This may always have been part of their relationship; we never truly know what goes on behind closed doors. The partner behaving this way is just making it public and everyone can see how the other was truly treated.

Because they are spiteful and immature.

Because some folk are wazzbags and you don't see their true colours until it's too late.

Some say love and hate are the de side of the coin but that obviously doesn't condone what he did but it does go to show how careful you've got to be.

It's impossible to understand some peoples 'logic' or reasons for doing what they do....

Although it is not an excuse sometimes people are really hurting and just do the hateful thing that they can do to make the other hurt as they do especially if they think they are not hurting.

Typical narcissistic behaviour. Wanting to destroy what he can no longer have.

No consideration for boundaries or empathy.

I always think they are still hurting so they want to cause the other pain in an attempt to ease their own feelings

Under certain circumstances using pictures of other people without their permission can result in a prison sentence of several years.

Doesn't help with the hurt but hopefully she reported it to the Police as it's now an offence.

Is it an offence? My ex reckons he has naked, intimate images of me and using threats but police won't do anything!

One of the numerous reasons we don't allow filming and only allow pics with regulars on our phone which we then cover faces and send to the others, revenge porn is a fairly major threat in the swinging world, you could easily fall out with people and if they have videos or unedited pics, god knows where they could end up! There are some nasty people out there is swinging land, protect your pics xx

technically it is an offence, yes. but i looked at the wiki for this law and 61% of people who complained about their pics being used had nothing done about it.
