The land of grey peas and bacon

I feel sorry for the woman who tried her frigging best to get it out in the open. I think she was made "redundant" not long after it was all exposed. I saw her on first dates bless her I can't remember her name

she was completely hung out to dry...i think its important to remember that the exposure of one particular set of cases doesn't mean that this shit hasn't, in any way, disappeared!

I worked for a certain police force in the control room while a huge operation was underway. (Not the area I live in now )

As more and more came to light, despite being in the job for a lot of years I was utterly shocked and disgusted at what the girls were put through. What police and social services were and weren't allowed to say.or do. Censorship if you wish.

This documentary as well as the tv series that exposed a lot of the wrong doings etc are finally bringing to light the true horror of what went on. However there is a lot more. To be exposed. X

What gets my goat is how many of the people in high ie positions...police..social services...eduction who failed these girls are still in them positions!

The one person who really went out on a limb was made redundant...Sara Rowbotham. But I was please to see Maggie Oliver put that pompous chief of police down on prime time national telly.

I agree. The high rollers censored what could be said and done. There were so many people who wanted to help in ways that would have exposed this a long time before it eventually was x
