I just try and be polite and avoid crudeness.....many on here complain about the hi's and the fancy a f**k or the meet now messages but even when you do send a decent message they still don't reply.

Sometimes it works others times the get deleted with out even reading.....think it's depends on the person you're messaging and what they're looking for.....

That's FAB for you matie.......don't ever try to understand it

Introduce yourself ie tell them your name is a good start.

The typical fancy a fuck isn't really gonna get you anyway apart from the block button in most cases

visiting the beach

Yep, similar to above. Though I don't message much, too much effort for too little return!

Fairly short, try and find something on the profile to compliment or joke about.

Lather, rinse, repeat...

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I don't have a standard line, it's always tailored to the person and what it says on their profile or a post on the forum.

I get about 50% response rate.

I chat with guys who match what my profile has requested and they tell me about themselves rather than talk about sex...

Alas with the ratio of men and women on here you have to understand that most single women's inboxes get flooded with messages from single guys all the time.

There is no way they can respond to all the messages, once they get to a certain many will just block delete.

Dont take it personally after all alot of women have a type / preference that they are after too.

I try my best to tailor each message to the content of their profile, if it's a blank profile but I like their pics I'll just say a polite hello and say a little bit about myself. Oh and yes, I always read a profile before sending a message.

I read the profile, workout if we are compatible and tailor an email just for them. Introduce myself, explain a little of what I like and look for. Many of my messages are read and left in the mail box. Replys are few and far between.

"Hi.....how are you.....FAF? "

I tried that a couple of years ago, as part of a forum experiment. I was either ignored or blocked.

If the profile interests you enough to want to message them, surely there must be something in their profile you could base your message on

A mixture then haha! It is a confusing process though since a lot of messages do get deleted without opening

Bham

Depends on their profile. Comment on something. Or mention how I meet their requirements. I try to keep it light-hearted.
