Or you have guys who want to point out if they get invited over that they are not going to sing" im getting a shag at no24" all the way up on the lift to their front door.

Many women on here don't want the neighbours knowing what they do in private.

Plenty of couples ask for and offer to be discrete, though I think they mean discreet.

So on it’s own, I take it to mean they are trying to offer some assurance they won’t go telling all their mates who they have been shagging.

However, when tied in with a few other factors such as can’t accommodate, looking for daytime meets and may be an hour or so in the evening with enough notice, non-identifiable photos all taking in Premier Inn bathrooms…. it could well indication they may be hiding something from someone.

I see discretion as something other than their relationship status

For me its about privacy and respect for the people you meet,by that I mean not putting thanks for the great shag honeypot on their status or telling all their mates to mail you.........that sort of thing

"Do they hide their verifications and friends lists? "

yes, I would prefer to hide my veri's as I'm not a personal fan of being too exposed about what I do and with whom. That said, however, they are available for people if it helps them to decide whether they want to chat etc

If it were possible to colour code the veri' icon (or some other workable scheme) so that I can keep them private but still but still differentiate the level of verification I'd personally find that preferable.

Was once in my bedroom with the window open and heard a woman I know off another site say "Oh that's where 2wheels lives now", no idea who she said it to but was far from impressed at the lack of discretion.

What I love is that you haven't mentioned single females because they don't have flings or in relationships while on here. Oh no. Never in a million years

Discrete means different things to different people. For example, discrete could mean they don't want to go to socials, events and clubs and would rather private meeting in the comfort of their own home or hotel. It could mean that even if they do have verifications and have been with certain people, it's none of our business who these people are.

Some things are on a need-to-know basis and you don't need to know. Simples!

But might you on occasion while checking out a potential meet, systematically click on their verifications, and likewise the verifications of those who had met them to get a better idea of who you are messaging?

Discreet to me means:

Any meet (female) will be greatly exaggerated, with all names & facts altered.

Any meet (male) never took place.

Your mobile number will NEVER be used, other than to cancel or say 'on way' to a meet. Both will have been agreed in advance.

If our paths cross in everyday life, I will not stare at,speak to or acknowledge you in any way whatsoever, unless approached first.

Think that pretty much covers it!

Oh and this is for the spelling police,

What is the difference between discreet and discrete?

This is another pair of homophones (words that sound alike but are different in spelling or meaning or both) that can be very confusing. Discreet implies the showing of reserve and prudence in one's behavior or speech. Discrete means something quite different - 'distinct, separate, unrelated'. Both words derive from the same Latin word discretus and for a long time these words were each spelled two different ways, but eventually came to be differentiated in spelling as well as in meaning. Discreet has yielded the noun discretion, but discrete's noun form is discreteness. Examples: They tried to be discreet about their unapproved friendship. / The course is broken down into 10 discrete study units.

"Oh and this is for the spelling police,

It's not exactly a spelling mistake when people use the wrong word.... if it is, I'll be using it as an excuse a lot more often in the future.

Example:

I meant to say your ideas are some way different to mine, but I seem to have typed the word 'cunt'... sorry it was a spelling error.

nah, it's just some more bullshit guys write on their profiles to try and reassure any prospective shags that they actually care and have feelings for other people, and won't go out afterwards and tell every bleeder that they got a shag of the Internet, which they obviously will.

for me, discretion means that whatever goes on between us will remain between us. i won't be telling my friends or discussing it down the pub.

i have nothing to hide but recognise that some of my sexual partners will have.

that is for them (and their conscience) to deal with - i just guarantee not to go burbling on about it to all and sundry.

remember the WW2 propoganda posters ?

Theres a thread in another forum, asking you to offer up who you think has the hottest pics.

I messaged the people i was eager to mention to make sure they approved, knowing that it may up the interest in them and they may of not wanted that or any other reason to say no thanks.

I think thats natural discretion for example.
