The chase has long been plagued with countless claims that the game show is fixed, and during Wednesday night's episode (June 29), viewers hit out at the ITV series yet again.

But this time, host Bradley Walsh actually agreed, saying: "That was unbelievable! People at home will think this is a fix! It's totally random! That's unbelievable

So do you think The chase is fixed .?

There and to the left a bit

I would think after all the controversy of a few years back with rigged phone votes and the like on various TV shows that it's very unlikely it's fixed as the merest sniff of it being so would have the watchdogs all over it.

I do think the format is gea_ed in favour of the programme not having to pay out though which is different.

They can't risk fixing game shows. Any TV company fixing them would risk its license

"Does it really matter if its fun to watch? "

It matters in that it's the media manipulating people..

And that's what we have politicians for dammit!

Rant over

My only negative about the show is that at the final Chase the Chaser should answer the same questions as the team.

Best Greggs in Cheshire East

Im convinced the chaser gets his questions quicker. He also doesnt have to buzz so gets an advantage if more than one person makes the final. More than makes up for the start points per person the team gets.

That's what I think.. Plus The contestants gotta buzz in and Bradley say their name before they even answer

Malaga Spain but sometimes Manchester and

Not fixed but too easy for the chaser at the end. With rapid fire questions. Cheap TV if hardly anyone wins as well.

Not fixed but the contestants general knowledge and attitude to risk will be informally assessed before selection ....

Gosh I'm way to intelligent to comment on this thread

My minor gripe with it (and other quiz shows, except one ) is that in starting a question as the buzzer goes, the contestants should get to answer the question.

I don't think its rigged either, those in the final chase get to choose the questions, which funnily enough, if you know the answer, are pretty easy

I don't think it is fixed. The chasers clearly have good and bad form. I think this quiz show will be around for many more years.

It's fixed in that if nobody get through to the final chase they then let one on the contestants into the final.

I've not seen anyone claim it is, but I've started to think it may be. I believe the chaser is told when to lose/win as they have a limited pot to give money away.
