"Oh Hun I'm sorry I haven't any words of advice. Fortunately I've never suffered with it, but if it's anything like the pain I'm in at the moment with a UTI then I can totally sympathise. Hot water bottle, painkillers. And lying with your stomach supported is helping me a bit. I'm sure some of the other ladies will have some better advice. Sending hugs though x " I've had the hot water bottle this morning but now have switched to a heat patch. Full up on painkillers. I'm lucky that it only last a day or two. Thanks for the help. "Raspberry tea and ginger tea, help with cramps and nausea respectively. Then the usual - hot water bottle, someone rubbing small of back, painkillers or Mefenamic acid, and whatever usually makes you feel cosier (chocolate or some such, having a bednest, watching a movie, listening to music, doing some exercise). Feel better soon. " Mmm chocolate that will cheer me up off anything. I'm switching between bed and doing stretches on the floor. Thank you x

"I need your help! I really suffer with intense period pain to the point where it makes me sick. I also suffer with migraines every time I'm due. What's your best advice for helping relieve some of the pain. I can't be the only one that gets it this bad surely? Currently sat on the bathroom floor feeling sorry for myself " Acupuncture

"I also get the migraines. A few days before then just after. Regular as clockwork. My hormones have a lot to answer for I'm even on medication for them which helps so much. If i didn't take it, I'd be unable to work for about a week a month. Also you can be prescribed tranexamic acid to reduce bleeding and severe cramps. I really feel for you, it's horrible when you suffer every 4 weeks " Sometimes it sucks being a woman

"Go see your doctor and get a coil fitted it will stop it all " I agree with the above. I suffered terribly but since having a Mirena fitted I've been great and periods are incredibly light.

"Exercise! I know its hard when you're hurting, but it's the best pain relief. You need to start in earnest a few days before your period comes to have a big effect, though. I also swear that Aleve (naproxen) is the absolute best pain relief pill for period pain. I have no idea why, but it works best for me." yes, ask your doc for Naproxen...you can buy it over the counter, cant think what its called, but speak to your gp,you need to take it a couple of days before, but it really works!

I do often run daily... ok it's more of a light jog but definitely could try to do more. Right now I'm willing to try anything.

" I've always been a little worried about getting a coil. Someone I know had one and her periods didn't stop until it was taken out. I'm definitely getting myself to the doctors, I won't be having another month of this.
