My friend and i have very different views on toxins and detoxing. The stuff that is apparently in your gut giving you a whole host of symptoms. I think it's all a load of rubbish and she swears by it.

So i was just wondering what you all thought.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

My liver and kidneys do all my detoxing just fine.

high gut sugars can cause problems, nothing much stays in your gut though and passes through it quite quickly so it'd have to be a regular high sugar diet causing that.

fat cells absorb toxins also. so if you're obese you'll have more toxins stored but otherwise idk how that affects you.

Agreed on making sure you drink enough water, a varied diet helps too so your insides has a good mix of stuff in there.

Everything else is spin from an industry that wants to sell you things. Using this deodorant makes you more attractive, according to the deodorant company. Driving this car makes your life better, according to the car company. Buying this phone gives you more friends, according to the phone company.

Seeing a trend here?

Your body tells you exactly what foods are toxins for it. We just ignore the signs. Bloating. Pimples. Hair loss. Fatigue. Hormonal imbalance. Food we eat every day has an impact on our body health and mental state.

I love the Facebook posts you see about detoxing and all the other bullshit that comes with it, colonic irrigation and a coffee enema

The human body comes with the means to detox fitted and standard.

Fools and their money

I'd like to know what are these toxins ????

It's such a vague word. As far as know there is no such thing. I've tried to find out what the toxins are. No dr or scientist has ever found any. If you knew what the toxins were, then you would know where they come from, and you could avoid the thing that contains them. But instead they want you to buy things to make them go away. That's illogical.

The whole industry that had grown around the idea of 'detox' is nonsense.

Humans have actual organs like the lungs and liver that remove toxins from the body.

All you need to do to is exercise and eat sensibly.

Load of rubbish like the drink gallons of water a day myth.

Drink more water than you need or detox too enthusiastically and you flush valuable vitamins and minerals out of your body having the opposite to the required effect.

The bottled water industry wouldn't want us to start believing that though.
