I love meat but also a wimp at trying new things, so tend not to stray into anything more exotic than your traditional farmyard animal. Fred is more adventurous and would probably try most animals if on a menu.

I agree. Crab is much nicer.

I had cuttlefish in Crete. It was a bit dull. They didn't put any sauce on it-just a slab of cuttlefish.

Yes I also prefer crab

Just felt with the lobster that the amount of work I had to put into it they should have been paying me

Some form of untranslatable rodent in South America, didn't hate it, but even if I knew what it was I wouldn't seek out more. Moose in Sweden, was OK but not as good as cow, but the best are midnight bugs while riding on a hot sultry night

I regretted the Blackbird. It was in a French restaurant in Corsica. I was curious before I had given it much thought. It came as a pate and was just a regular tasting pate, nothing special. Afterwards I read how they net the migrating birds and the dwindling numbers as a result and I felt really guilty.

Horse was also in Corsica and just tasted like a bad steak.

I tried Guinea Pig in south America when someone else ordered a whole one. I think that was a bit like chicken.

Probably for presentation the cobra banquet.

It involves a shot of venom and the venom sacks floating in a glass of brandy.

An lots of cobra meat.

They had alpaca sausages at the food festival here last year. I wasn't that keen on them.

Mealworms

Chocolate covered crickets

And some sort of lemon flavoured bug

Not as bad as you might think really. I think mealworms as flour and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference
