I have the Embarrassing FAT Bodies running in the background, and thought I should check my BMI, and found I am no longer Obese, woo hoo!

I was over a stone heavier two years ago, and have lost the weight gradually since then.

Love to loose a little bit more, so that I can pig out when I visit Hong Kong later this year, can't wait!

Mine doesn't work out- I lost a stone recently- Doc says I need to add about half a stone, yet my bmi says I'm overweight- not like I do any exercise or anything- apart from the 2, 4 mile walks I do with the mutts every day

I love food, and have a body that reflects my love for food, and am proud of it.

My weight was putting strains on my knees as one of them bend slightly inwards.

Hence I thought about doing more exercise and eating a little bit less without cutting out all the goodies that are bad for me, and it worked!

And I am Chinese, and can eat a lot, so pig out is a very apt description!

BMI is a load of crap anyway. It assumes that the extra weight is fat, whereas someone can be obese according to the BMI index because of muscle development. As was demonstrated on TV awhile back. A big burly builder was obese yet the fittest of the whole group while the iest of all was also the least fit.

I feel better having lost the weight for certain.

The other day, I pulled out the first pair of trousers from a big pile to iron, and found it was a size I struggled to wear in the past.

Thinking I had lost some weight, and the stomach crunches might have helped to reduce the measurement around my waist, I ironed them, and then gingerly put them on.

To my surprise, I did not even need to suck in my stomach before I could do up the button and fly.

Well chuffed!

Just out of intrest I dug out my suit which hasn't been worn for 20 yrs. The waist fitted but the thighs were a bit tight because the muscles have developed a bit. Must be doing something right.

i joined fat camp in march and have lost jut over 3 and a half stone so far and im no longer obese my BMI is 27 i have no idea what its supposed to be?

Mine has dropped from 34 to 30 so i have just been told this week..... good i guess but after years of trying to lose weight i couldn't yet now i have stopped trying it is slowly dropping off.... the power of non thought i guess lol

At 6ft tall and with a 33inch waist mine came out at 24 which is close to being overweight according to BMI

I don't possess scales so no idea what my weight is. BMI used to be around the 20 mark but I've put on weight so clueless now.

Standard weight/height chart BMI would show a bodybuilder as being clinically obese. Remember folks muscle weighs double what fat does.

The only way to get true BMI checked is with calipers and it's not a pleasant experience, in fact it hurts.

With that said well done Pearl!
