All I know about wine is you get white, red and rose.

I like rose!

Oh and that fizzy wine, prosecco with some chambord.

"I always buy the ones that are on offer for like £4/5. X"

Then you are drinking rubbish!

In a £4.99 bottle, the tax and VAT is £2.38. The profit margin is £1.40. The vineyard labour and shipping costs are 60p.

The actual wine is 16p, which is why it tastes awful!

And don't be taken in by those special offers - Was £10, now only £5. Just a marketing ploy. The wine was only ever worth £5.

"Local to Gatwick you mean?"

There are a few vineyards in Sussex. Mainly known for sparkling wine, tbf.

"Valpolicella Amarone or Ripasso"

Since Amarone is posh Valpolicella, you would always choose it over Valpolicella.

Yes, they are stealing from you!

Have a look at Aldi's german site. They are selling many wines under 2 euros a bottle. Some under 1.50 euros a bottle, mainly because the tax is less, but it tells you all you need to know about what you are really buying!

So why not try it from France, Chile, America also. Why just Argentina?

And if you like it alone, why not try it when blended with other grapes, such as in Bordeaux?

Or do you only like it from Argentina, because that is only what Aldi sell?
