It does seem odd that,in this day and age,with information so easily accessible that anyone should still consider something like sexuality to be so black and white,like you are one thing or the other and you can never change your mood.

When it's so obvious that sexuality is as variable as any other personality trait,dependent on many factors,including your mood,your temperament,what else is going on in your life and who you happen to be intimate with at any particular moment.

So,when someone puts 'straight' on their profile,they are just choosing from limited options and they are only really saying that they feel straight at that particular moment.
