Most guide dogs have ' human' names.

They go through the alphabet with each litter and name the pups , unless it's a sponsored dog then you get to name them.

OK you do get some odd names ours was called ' Happy'

Degrading for the dog perhaps if they're given the same name as someone who has that attitude. Again, some people are offended by anything. Let's face it, as dog owners we love our dogs. I would feed mine before I feed myself.
