Liverpool /the open

Going to be up in Liverpool on a Saturday for a piss-up then the open on the Sunday.. How good is the city centre for a couple of southern lads??

Just a good craic. I like house music, Oasis, the verve, stereophonic etc etc. Both play pool. Nice and lively.

erics, sergent peppers and rubber soul on Mathew street all have live music afternoon and evening x

Bierkeller in Liverpool one, down the pump house by the docks if it's nice , Baltic triangle is good aswell of a daytime it's lovely.

The Open is in Southport (Royal Birkdale), IMO that is a better night out than Liverpool. I've never really enjoyed Liverpool's nightlife but everyone to their own.

Only been to the Open once, back in 2008.. I've got to say it wasn't worth the money.. It's £80 entry which is crazy money, even when I'm interested in the sport.

Only a more positive note, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Interested to know why you don't think it is worth the money even though you are into golf.

Southport was literally full up and Liverpool is only 15 miles or so.

Think that's the first time I've heard anyone say Southport is a better night out than Liverpool. As you say each to their own but in terms of choice Liverpool has so much more to offer
