Our kids suffer and it's been worse than usual this year.

They take a daily antihistamine, used nasal spray and had to get them some eye drops.

Lady in the chemist suggested taking them to the doctors for fexofenadine (only available on prescription). On day 5 and they have been great and haven't needed the nasal spray or eye drops.

Hope you're feeling better soon - know how it effects people x

Try natural honey ideally local to where you live

over time it's supposed to build a natural resistance...

Try smearing a small amount of vaseline inside your nose. It seems to catch the pollen

Have seen a few people say that it hasn't been as effective as previous years - think because it's the first time the boys have taken it it's working x

I get the pollen report first thing in the morning and try to stay in doors or any air con places if it's super high ...... take the flex stuff at night and an ioniser or defuser can help with lemon .... honey every day too... I'm severe in my reaction so breathing is mega effected - 9 out of ten for reaction ...clean sheets - no dust - limited carbs - everything to limit any inflammation ...... movie theatre can give relief - cool and no pollen or dust

This.

I've had it since a child but have found it's less severe since eating local honey. I still use meds but it's nowhere near as bad.

I've had terrible hayfever since I was a kid. I have to take prescrition drugs for it and sprays.

But for some weird reason I've hardly been bothered by it this year

I take a tablet for it, the one a day medication which the doc recently increased to two a day (seems odd lol), i have a nose spray to use during the day with an additional one when needed, eye drops too, i eat a specific honey which i love, i have had my steriod inhaler changed to a stronger one and at the moment im using my blue one more too. I smear vasaline in my nose to catch the pollen.

Im struggling at the moment and have been for about 3 days, my breathing is affected a lot. I presume the pollen count is high but i havnt checked.

Mines been manageable so far this year. Usually I need to lie down and cover my face in a wet towel every night because I want to scratch my eyes out.

As someone who used to have it chronic....whereby it turned into asthma on a evening. The best non medical treatment is to have a day at the coast and hope the wind is coming in from the sea.

You will obviously still need to take antihistamines. ...and I used to have a spray that put some sort of coating inside the nasal cavity to stop the pollen irritating it.

I find piriton is the only one that really works for me, but it does knock me out. That's easily dealt with by taking at when I go to bed.

I also find that taking ibuprofen when I'm itchy helps, as it's an anti-inflammatory and the itching is generally caused by swellings caused by histamine.

Yes my hayfever has been a real pain so far this summer. I actually think I may have a slight infection in addition to the normal hayfever. Must try and get to see the doctors soon.

yes wife gets this, she tried all the pharmacy ones, and local honey. none seem to work

ive been ordering all sorts of pills all different types, from all over the world some from japan and Australia USA. as yet none seem to do anything.

NHS needs to stop being cheap and fund the most effect hayfever pill on the market. as they cost over £125 per 30 pills and need to be taken for at least 6 months. but apparently the most effect hay fever pill out there.

I look like I'm constantly upset over something. How many times I've been asked 'are you okay?' Is a joke.

i suffer from hayfever bad or are used to until i tried the honey trick which seems to be working amazing for me this year, you have to find a local bee keep and buy the honey off him and make a drink out of it , its not a quick fix you havr to keep drinking it over winter and when summer comes hopeful it make it a lot easier to cope with, hope that helps
