What song brings back memories to you ?

It could be hot summer days as a kid, someone that's passed away, first love etc

Norwich

not so many memories but songs pop in my head all the time. I don't know how often I start singing "relax, don't do it..." in the office when a colleague is stressed. yesterday afternoon I put "tequila " on to cheer everyone up- worked a treat ha ha

Manchester

UB40 - Food For Thought

Janet Kay - Silly Games

Both songs evoke strong memories of being back in my hometown in the early 80's. I'm not one for nostalgia really but these songs have a very strong pull.

S'Express - Hey music lover

Reminds me of school discos.

A lot of early 90's grunge music reminds me of hot summer days in my mid teens.

Can never remember particular ones until I hear one then the memories come flooding back yet without the music tend not to consciously remember, find it amazing to be honest.

Amazing how a short burst of a song you thought you'd forgot triggers the memory

Mr Big to be with you. My husband used to sing it to me when he was d*unk. He was to cool to ever sing it sober

I'm the same. Most childhood memories are brought back in an instant with lots of songs.

If i had to choose just a couple

1. One tree hill - U2. Used to play it in car and drive my parents insane until one day my dad said he loved it.

2. Build a fire - KLF

Spent many teenage nights driving on Southport sands and camping in the dunes with all my friends and we'd play the KLF album from my car
