Feeling the drains of being in the same place constantly, I enjoy travelling alot but there's still alot more to see in the UK. Where would everybody say is the best place they have been too for a weekend getaway?

That's how I'm feeling at the minute, I'm up cannock most weekends with the bike but it gets monotonous and need a change of scenery

Funny enough i was at Blaenau Ffestiniog last weekend but again it was mountain biking, which was good if not painful but it's nice to do something a bit different. I haven't explored the south of Wales so that's definitely a possibility.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Off to London next weekend, then Cumbria the weekend after. I sometimes visit the national parks around me, or just walk down by the river.

There is so much to see in this country that won't cost a bomb. Just do a quick Google.

Never been to London but Cumbria is beautiful... even if it is raining most of the time

That is very true it doesn't, just food and fuel then it's time for a magical mystery tour

If you can't make it half an hour down the road going further afield might be a challenge.

I used to pick a letter of the alphabet and then the distance and find somewhere on the map. I haven't done that for a while but it was great way to see places I'd never been to before.

Chester is full of tourists ,if you do a long weekend you can hit North Wales on a Friday afternoon ,smash Chester which is next door in the evening ,Wreck Liverpool on the Saturday then finish off maybe the lakes or Mad Manchester on Sunday

I can make it half an hour down the road, it's more having the people to go out in bham with.

My post is more about going around the country and getting to explore new places than going on nights out. Not that I'm opposed to that of course
