I find the nowadays I hardly watch live tv (unless sport), and either catch up or use box sets to watch tv at other times

Thinking back to when we had to either vhs or DVD record shows, and had to watch live tv, I was watching live tv all the time.

I wonder how the change to Netflix/catch up/iplayer has affected our tv viewing - and how many of us watch live tv

It has certainly taken the sting out of missing something first time around.

Plus binge watching means you don't have to wait to catch up if others are ahead of you with a series

I don't turn the TV on at all anymore. If I want to watch something which is rare I either use the sky go app of Netflix on the pc

i've no license so can't watch iplayer but i used to maybe watch a couple of shows a year and my son watched quite a bit on there (before the ban).

my kids only watch netflix now, there's loads on that and my ex let's us use his account so we're sorted.

i'm actually surpriied that people do still watch live TV and wonder how they have time for that and to plan to sit down and watch shows.

It's great; I'm usually a good two years behind whatever the must see series is, so FQ and I binge on box sets constantly. Also jolly good for reliving old favourites; which reminds me, she confessed last Friday that she'd never watched Pride and Prejudice back in the day. Bonnets at the ready FQ
