My opinion of men has hanged drastically.

I first got into this scene as an escape from life with my ex--controlling, manipulative, nasty. Thought all men were really like him, deep down, even if it didn't show right away.

I found: most men looking for sex on a swinger's site to be infinitely more considerate and caring than the one who swore he loved me.

Met a guy a few years back who has changed my world, we are now getting into this as a couple and so swinging is taking on a different meaning.

Right now I'm trying to figure out what swinging as a couple means; I'm sure my thoughts and opinion of it will change as time goes on.

1- Yes we've changed our minds about what we're looking for since we joined.

2- Yes the forums have made me change my mind about people. Usually it only changed my mind for the worse, but I do remember at least one person who I really disliked when I first started using the forums who completely change my opinion of him as I got to know him.

3- Yes chatting has made me change my opinion of lots of people who originally caught my eye but who I then realized I wasn't really compatible with.

4- Yes, my opinion of swinging in general had changed since I started.

I think its healthy to change one's mind as more information is presented and I do so when appropriate.

It's changed my mind overall. Quite often the forums make me think that someone is a bit of a tosser when they are racist or body shame for example. Or I realise they aren't quite what I had hoped they would be. Which is a shame because their profile looks so pretty!

That aside, yeah. I've changed my mind about what I am looking for. Right now it's not anyone as I'm content and all that stuff. And he made me change my mind about relationships as well.

Kind of. Desperation and illusion are ugly traits and i go off a lot more people than i go 'onto'. Am sure many think the same of me and i really don't care. Also humans are fundamentally ugly inside but hardly reveal that side of themselves overtly. They reveal it in a way that appeals (to the sexual and needy, on here).

When I think back to pre-fab days I was unhappy, felt like a failure because I thought I was 'crap at relationships', thought I was unattractive due to my weight and age, thought the sexual part of my life was all but over...

Then I discovered fab!

It's been an ego boost (and yes I know people aren't always being genuine but I'll take what I can get thanks

)

A voyage of self discovery (I too was initially thinking 'I just want a regular fwb' just a wee bit of fun. Only to discover I love variety, group sex, being watched...)

It's made me question what I think about relationships (I now wish I'd discovered fab years ago, think I was always more suited to swinging than traditional relationship model, thought I was done with relationships, but now I'd be happy to have an open/poly/non-conformist relationship)
