With Richard Hammond having yet another crash 10 years on from his near fatal one on Top Gear.

Which do you prefer?

Top Gear or The Grand Tour.

Personally, can't stand Matt Le Blanc and Chris Evans was atrocious so you can see where our vote lies.

Top gear. The scripting on GT is so ackward to watch. And the over use of the word "shit" means we can no longer watch it with our kids.

I noticed a advert for James Corden/Freddie flintoff/Jamie rednapp programme (don't know what it's called). It looks like top Gear with out the car reviews. What is it with the format of guys being dicks on tv that appeals. ?

For me the only chance for Top Gear to resurrect it's former popularity would require employ the following trio of presenters

Mark Webber ... David Coulthard and Jenson Button

I think their humour knowledge and competitive chemistry would be the perfect blend ...... better than the original

GT was ok, I like the chemistry between clarkson Hammond and may, but there was some stupid slots in every programme that didn't need to be there.

With you 100% there, hopefully the next season may have improved?

Apologies for the cap comment in the thread the other day, we were only teasing.

The guys being dicks format works though, mind you you could always turn over and watch 22 of them kicking a ball around a local park, but each to their own.

Any comments against me personally go over my head (a bit like an aeroplane really), I don't get all heated if someone has a pop, be it light hearted or vindictive, it's all banter as they say so no point stressing over it

Oh I'd rather watch GT instead of football any day of the week.

Nice to see werecarent alone in that then.

Just don't get the attraction of the same thing week in and out, even more so if they support a crap team and keep going back and paying for more, bloody Sadists, lol

Not sure on the DC bit, think his role as a taxi driver suited him, heard he starts for Uber in Monaco next week

Well there's three names that shouldn't even be on TV, Closely followed by Paddy McGuiness....really!

Neither have captured the spirit of old new top gear.

New new top gear got worse in series two. It seemed like they looked back at the mistakes of the relaunch and made a set of new ones for series two.

Grand Tour was a lot better, but not as good as old new top gear.

What was all that nonsense with killing the guests all about?

The test track was rubbish and as for The American...

Was a huge fan of the old top gear, it can never return to how it was! Chris Harris is great but for me, the grand tour seems too 'staged' and a bit forced

Fingers crossed that they have a new script writer for this season, Hammond managed to destroy a £1M prototype, whoops.

It's becoming a habit

Let's hope so! I've read up on the car before, it's mind bendingly fast! So unfortunate

Killing the special guest was completely lost on me, cause may would have the same line every week, I'm hoping that particular slot has been removed.

Both shows are trying too hard to be funny

Top gear improved dramatically when Chris Evans left

I'll still watch them both, hopefully they'll both keep improving

Another problem with The Grand Tour, is that by the time it is aired, the cars have already been around for a while and pretty much state things we already know!

They need to find more exclusive content

Not really happy with either, new TG seems a bit forced at times and they need to find a better 3some or change format whereas GT was overly self indulgent

Just my opinion
