"I'd like to take my dogs to the sea; I think they would love it. The fact they could use the beach as a toilet is what is putting me off. Even clearing up after them could leave some residue behind. I'd want to disinfect and dig the top sand over. " . Sea life shits in the sea.. Its not the end of the world

Could you suggest they secure the boundary between your gardens so their dog can't get in? Just say you regularly put slug pellets and killer down that is harmful to animals (you don't have to actually do it) and say you'd hate for their dog to get harmed by being where it shouldn't be...

"Problem with that is the dog is only doing what comes naturally to it it does not understand boundaries. My dogs chase cats that come into their garden all the time. I decided that whilst I can't do anything about that I added an extra foot to the fence to stop them carrying on the chase. The Neighbours should hang their heads and do more. I feel for you it's not the same but when my dog was attacked on his lead in the street by another I went mad at the owners and all they got was a slap on the wrist. Unless it's people nobody seems to care. The Hunt here regularly kill cats by accident. I'm going to keep a spade out if I'm at the other end of the garden so I can splatter it's head if it gets agressive.

"I see bitches at the beach all the time, they are cunts too and it wouldn't surprise me if they shit on the shoreline. But I think as long as dog owners clear up after their hounds then it is fine, if not I find calling them out or catapulting the offending item works well. Plenty of dog free beaches during the high season for those who are so disgusted. " I clearly can't type

Especially if you're a dirty cunt who doesn't clean up when it shits where kids are playing. #WRONG!!!!! " You are aware that we pump thousands of tonnes of sewage into the sea right? That dogs foul football pitches and playing fields daily? That children piss in swimming pools daily? Now don't get me wrong - ALL dog owners should clean up properly after their pets and anyone who doesn't should be fined (as per the law). If it is the health and safety of kids that you are concerned about then there are more pressing issues to deal with than dogs on beeches. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Good dog owners like clean beaches too and the beach is salt washed each night. As long as they pick up after pooch there's no harm. I love watching dog's bound over waves. I love dogs full stop really. Humans are good too.

"Saw an interesting meme recently. One half was a picture of a dog with a caption sayong basically that it's not allowed on the beach because of the mess it makes, the other half was the state of our beaches in Southend after all the visitors had been on a hot day - and the state they'd left our beaches in. Let the dogs on the beach and ban the people I say." Dogs on beaches if they clean up their poop. I wouldn't particularly like to sit on a patch of dog wee either, and that also stands in parks too.

"To be clear I don't blame the dogs. I blame the owners. And don't go telling me dog owners are all responsible. In the last 2 hours I've seen 2 dogs take a shit and the owners just walk on... " did you ask the owners to clear it up though. Someone kept letting their dog shit in my street. I went on dog shit watch and plaste_ed it all over facebook. It stopped.

"I'm right aren't I!? No problem with dogs. But not on beaches. There's plenty of other places to go. Especially if you're a dirty cunt who doesn't clean up when it shits where kids are playing. #WRONG!!!!! You are aware that we pump thousands of tonnes of sewage into the sea right? That dogs foul football pitches and playing fields daily? That children piss in swimming pools daily? Now don't get me wrong - ALL dog owners should clean up properly after their pets and anyone who doesn't should be fined (as per the law). If it is the health and safety of kids that you are concerned about then there are more pressing issues to deal with than dogs on beeches. Just my thoughts on the matter. "

And I think littering human bastards should be banned from beaches too, and issued on the spot fines for also being dirty c**ts! . Let's concentrate on the worst offenders first before worrying about dog crap. Now stroll down to your local beach after a nice day like today and you'll see which creature is really causing the problem coz there mess won't bi degrade for a hund_ed years (by the way most plastics are toxic as well when they do). If you'd said let's ban humans from the beach I'd be at least giving you some support but I'm afraid on the grand scale of things a dog crapping is the very very least of our problems" Your posts always make me sad for the future! I can't stand people who don't pick up after their dog. I've had more arguments in this country over that than anything else! Having said that, I'm also sick of the shit filled diapers people leave on the ground near the local playground. Oh! And I'm sick of people having picnics and leaving bottles and plastic and garbage behind for my dogs to try and eat. I think I'm just sick of people, generally. We should leave the planet to the animals while we can.

"My friend was once pissed on by a dog on a beach. We just come out of the sea from surfing and was sat looking at the sea. I found it fucking hilarious " On a slight tangent, I was in the bath with ma missus once and ma dog wanders into the bathroom making "I need to go out for a leak" messages. I said "in a minute mate", he thought "Fuck you, I ain't waiting" and promptly cocked his leg against the toilet bowl. We thought it was fucking hilarious as well

"I totally agree. I think that dogs should be banned from the beach during the summer. The dog mess is disgusting and owners are not responsible enough to think that some people are sca_ed of dogs, particularly larger ones. I was almost attacked by a large alsation when I was a young girl. The irresponsible owner had left it roam free. If it wasn't for my grandmother and 2 other quick thinking adults pulling it away it would have attacked me. I therefore have a big prob with large dogs and I feel unsafe if they are allowed to run free on the beach where I am trying to relax. " But that's just your problem with dogs in general, you'd feel the same no matter where you may be There's absolutely no problem at all with responsible dog owners walking their dogs anywhere. The op might as well have said ban them from parks or the high street or even anywhere in public As with anything in life the bad minority give the rest a bad name Littering on beaches is far more of a problem than taking your dogs there

Therefore it is likely that I will be sitting or lying down and therefore I am more vulnerable than I would be otherwise. In usual situations like the high street, I can avoid any potentially unsafe dogs by crossing the street, running away etc. Also dogs on the high street or shopping centres are more likely to be on leads or at least with their owners whereas dogs on a beach are more likely to be allowed to run free. Of course I realise that I can't avoid them completely, but It can be avoided and kept to a minimum. I don't think that they should be allowed in a place where people, especially young children may be playing or trying to relax.

"No OP, you're wrong. Have seen so many "responsible" humans who would complain that dogs / horses are on the beach then go and let their kids shit in a freshly dug hole or bury nappies, leave their litter, have "fun" smashing bottles and then leaving all their litter behind from their picnic. In hindsight, maybe keeping animals away from where humans go would be better for their health."

"And the very worst offenders are the fuckers that bag up a 24 hour biodegradable dog shit in a plastic bag that takes decades to biodegradable and leave it on the friggin beach or put it in a bin that goes to a landfill I buy biodegradable poo bags. " . Biodegradable plastics can often mean plastics made from petroleum that break down by light of oxygen, in a landfill they don't really break down. Look for bio plastic bags instead which tend to be made from corn starch and alike, they break down much easier and are compositble unlike biodegraded plastics

"I'd like to take my dogs to the sea; I think they would love it. The fact they could use the beach as a toilet is what is putting me off. Even clearing up after them could leave some residue behind. I'd want to disinfect and dig the top sand over. . Sea life shits in the sea.. Its not the end of the world " seagulls shit on the sand!
