I wanna go to 4K but don't wanna be stuck at 60hz. I may go 144hz but I want a 4k 100+ Hz monitor

New pic being built as just sold off my i7 4770.

Ryzen 1700x cpu

X370 series motherboard

64gb ram 3200mhz

5 x ssd drives ( I am an editor so use setup) various sizes

GTX 1060 gpu (I only game 1080p)

3 x 24" dell ips monitors

External raid array

Cooler master aio liquid cooling

Thermaltake p3 open case white

Entire build be black @ white to match my white gaming / office room. I live white black. So it all matches.

My room for this is very YouTube channel style lol

I love gaming but core gaming is on my consoles. My pc is mostly editing machine with a few games like -

Dawn of war series

Battlefield 1

Shadow of mordor

Eve online

I share games with my steam friends though so currently have a pool around 300 Games to play lol

If I was just a pc gamer I would have much lower spec system for 1080p gaming .

How many viewers do you have on Twitch?"

at the moment I am in the process of setting up a new twitch for it all.

I know the PC is certainly man enough for it, however I am currently with Sky for me broadband and its seriously falling short so looking at going to virgin with 300mps.

I do wish Hyperoptic would pull their fingers out with their 1Gps lines because then I should be able to comfortably run my old unit as a record server, run several online streams and a heavy game without loosing anything

Games I am playing at the moment,

Star wars battlefield,

Black ops infinity warfare (if you have VR try it!!!!)

Overclocked too? It'll munch anything you throw at it!

My previous two builds have been progressively higher spec each time until I threw my toys out of the pram with a semi persistent random bsod. That led to me going down the alienware laptop route only to come a cropper with Radeon crossfire driver issues. If I ever get around to a new build I'm tempted by the new pentium as I'll purely game on it, so all those extra threads will be wasted on me.

Anywho, providing the sli drivers are up to scratch for you, you'll have a blast with that rig. Even then, the one card will fly on most titles at max at the mo.

At the moment ive benched it with cod IW but at the moment the only thing dragging its balls is my BB.

Besides with new developments in VR (i would highly recommend IW on VR) its going to start taking even bigger leap forward.

With games like SW battlefield 2 coming out its going to take a beast of a rig to manage the complexity of having 64 players all running about, mapping and thats not including if its oculus rift compatible (which i do hope)

But as well all know already, todays top spec PC is tomorrows standard desk top

My rig is pretty old now but is still fine (even though I mostly early access games these days that only run a single core).

I only dabble with games these days but play PUBG and Rocket League. Not a lot really holds me attention any more.

if you are looking for a bigger screen, keep an eye in places like CEX as you can get some big ass screens for quite cheap.

or argos during the end of season sales... also with summer here, TV prices and tech prices tend to drop and get a hell of a lot cheaper

seriously if people have old say 5 year old generic pc form curry etc and want to crack into some gaming ,, best card for buck by miles is the GTX 1050TI

it uses motherboard power ,only like 70watt draw ... maybe upgrade your ram to 8gb if its at 4gb and seriously for 150 quid you got a console bashing machine graphically for reasonable medium setting graphical gaming ..
