Wow. Well done! Is it difficult to maintain?

How do you feel physically and mentally since switching to keto?

I've heard it improves cognitive function and boosts energy. Have you found this to be the case?

Thank you.

Yes after the first few days wmt start to feel much better and hunger disappears. The craving for sweet things also goes. As long as you drink plenty of water you won't feel sluggish etc. I feel great.

Not sure I'm ever in ketosis but I follow a very low carb diet most of the time. The diet doctor website has a lot of good information on it.

Keto is good for rapid weight loss in the first few weeks as you shed all of your water weight initially.

If you wish to retain muscle you must keep protein very high, minimum 1.5grams per lb of bodyweight.

When you re-introduce carbs you will unfortunately regain your water weight.

I would recommend carb cycling over keto, but different strokes for different folks, you will know your body better than I

I've been keto/low carb for ten years. Eight stone loss, kept it off and fitter and healthier heading towards my sixties than when I was in the army in my twenties.

Where's the 'keep protein high' thing from?

Carb cycling for most is a nightmare; let your body run on glucose OR ketones, not both.

I did the keto diet last year. Weight dropped off pretty quickly but the best thing was that I felt lighter, more awake and my energy levels were much more even throughout the day.

Highly recommended!

Dropping carbs is a far easier dietary change than any other.

It's the sugar that is the hardest. I have dropped carbs with little issue but the cravings for sugar is hard.

Keto, intermittent fasting and the time restricted diets work well together to loose body fat.
