Aspergers and swinging

So, I am asking about this genuinely, as an Aspie myself, who wants a different view on things.

Can swinging and Aspergers go comfortably hand in hand, or will our methods of doing things and our social limitations/disparities affect us having fulfilling meets? I'm especially interested in hearing from fellow Aspies but anyone is welcome to post constructive comments

This is a serious question, any wilfully inflammatory or abusive comments will be reported. If any Aspies don't wish to comment on the thread over worries of 'outing' themselves please feel free to message me privately.

As Aspergers has such a wide spectrum. I would imagine, each person, at each part of the spectrum, would have different limitations. Not sure how definitive an answer you will receive

Doesn't have to be definitive, I know people are different, I just wanted some views on it

it's something i have little knowledge of to be honest but did meet a girl last year from here who was on the scale someplace and we had a really good night, became fb friends and still chat very occasionally. as far as i can gather she enjoyed my company for the night for what it was. that's the sum total of my experience of aspergers and swinging..not a great deal but it's what i've got

I would guess like anything else, you will choose what situations you want to be in and they will either work or they won't.

what kind of problems do you envisage?

i've noticed that in the whole many are alright people but some people can be quite predatory, so if you're vulnerable that way you'd have to be careful.

Hello there. Thought I'd pop by and help as I have Aspergers myself.

When I first came here some time ago, I wasn't sure where to start so I went onto the forums and started chatting at the best of my ability. There were times where I felt down but the friends I made on the forums helped give me the support I needed.

After a month or so, I decided to make my first visit to a club and got plenty of helpful advice on here and the owners of Cupids got in touch and were very understanding of my condition and it did help me feel relaxed about going.

When I went to the club on the night, I was pretty nervous but I managed to get through the door. After I went in and got change, I got a nice tour of the club which was nice so I thought I'd relax and soak in the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and gave me plenty of help when needed. I did chat to a few people at the club and have a good time which was good.

I've visited the club 4 times over the past few months and looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks. There were times during my first few visits where I did end up isolating myself but the friends I made at the club helped cheer me up.

I did a post or two about my evenings at the club here in the forum and I got plenty of support from people here telling me how brave I was for going to a club on my own despite having Aspergers.

I am glad to have so many friends who have helped me overcome my social anxieties as it has got me out of my shell for which I am proud to have made it this far.

Brighton - even Hove!

I should imagine this place is pretty good for an Aspie. I know one lady, spindler and another guy at least one here who have ASC. My son has it.
