London

Just went in to Basildon leisure centre to get a blue slush puppy for lunch as we're working over here and it bloody hot in Essex.

As I was was queuing a young downs girl had got her sandwich, a drink and 2 on what looked like a day respite for parents. So she was out with a group of carers and other disabled people ....I think they were caramel flap jack bars. So the woman at the till rang it through and said it was £7,

the girl said "my mum only had this much"

Woman behind till "that's not enough darling"

So she put one of the caramel bars back.

I reached in my pocket, pulled out £2 and put the caramel bar back with her lunch.

Never met anyone so grateful.?? a really polite girl.

She sits down and the woman at the till gave me staff discount on my drink. But the main point it made me feel good.??

Plus I'm enjoying my blue slush

First time I did it was Christmas 2013, was a 14 year old girl sitting in a doorway Christmas Eve under a soaking duvet after her mum kicked her out after a row with the new boyfriend, took me and a random lady I asked on the street to get Basildon council too put her in a halfway house over the Christmas period cost me £10 to dry her duvet and feed her at a cafe...... that's when I caught the bug for it

Love that feeling. Bought a little old lady's Christmas shop once. She refused a lift home though.

Well done you, my 2 sons have special needs and it's lovely when people are kind to them as they have such a kind nature themselves. X

It is so nice to be kind to people.

I did a huge shop the other day...spent £200. I was given a stack of 20 free Lego trading cards for kids; I don't have kids. On the way out of the supermarket there were two little boys who were unwrapping a few of these cards so I asked them if they would like mine. The look on their faces was priceless. They went running out of the shop to where their mum was loading up the car. They obviously told their mum and she waved at me, said thanks so much...you've made their day!!!! It really made me smile at my simple gesture

I was walking through town when I noticed a group of adults with Down syndrome, lovely I thought having a nice day out in the sun. But on returning to my car one of the girls had lost the group and was begging for help, she was quite distressed bless her so I walked through the town with her and we eventually found her group in the park, they were frantically looking for her. I got the best biggest hug from that darling girl she was so grateful it felt so good and I'm glad it was me and not some sex pervert or murderer that she asked to help her I hate to think of such a vulnerable person out there alone

That's so sweet OP, little acts of kindness like this are what can make a huge difference to someone's day or even life.

Top bloke

I used to help support a very famous charity which included overnight duties and giving up my time. It was worthwhile though.
