A world of my own

How do you get it back?

I'm not ever the biggest of characters or the most confident even at my best. However the other day someone at work said "you've lost your sparkle" she is right. So ladies and gents, how do you find yours??

No idea. I think I left mine on a bus about ten years ago. A couple of drinks helps loosen the ties that bind.

Seriously though, I think I only sparkle on the outside when I feel good on the inside. Treat yourself to something you really enjoy, or have been putting aside for ages. Get that feel good factor back.

It comes and goes. Circumstances change and can effect your zing. It passes, honest

I feel like I've lost mine this week. But will spend my weekend recharging and relaxing with people I know care about me. Failing that I'll stuff my face with chocolate!

I find spending time with my friends and having a laugh helps me find myself again. Just somewhere I can be myself brings out the best in me

I've lost mines too. If someone has it in the lost property section can you please return it.

Nah seriously, I'm gonna surround myself with family and friends this weekend and buy new shoes!!!

New shoes always help.

Dance with the right crowd. We're social and loving creatures by nature, even the introverts.

I'm meaning literally as well. Go out. Dance. Be silly as fuck. Climb the highest mountain. Punch the face of god.

Norwich

take a step back from life and have a look at it. what do you or did you enjoy- more of that or restart it again.

what is shit? change it.it's so easy getting stuck in the everyday routine and looking yourself in it.

or chocolate

Get yourself out if you can, to somewhere you would normally enjoy.

And let go. Don't worry about looking a twat, I do it daily. It's all part of the charm.

I do hope you feel better soon xxx

My inbox is always open, I may not be any help, but I can listen.... And talk shit

Do things you really enjoy and spend time with those who make you smile. Maybe you just need to recharge your batteries a little. Can you book a night away somewhere ?

Goodness knows. I normally wait for my sparkle to find me. I get in with stuff/life and wait for awesome things to happen around me. I like making other people happy, that makes me feel good.

As MisterBee said...

I find I loose it when I focus on me too much. I'm happiest when I'm helping someone out especially if they didnt/ don't expect it or better still don't know who helped them. The way it changes them give me a sparkle.

Like others have said get involved with things. I find I feed off people's positive energy. I know that sounds a bit hippie like but it's true. Put yourself in good environments with good people and your sparkle will come back brighter than a unicorn on crack

A world of my own

Thanks everyone. I'm never usually like this, however life is challenging me!

Thanks for all the kind words and offers of advice/support.

Perhaps I need a bit of a boot up the backside.

Xxx

Hey OP,

It's time for some you time, I find when I'm low doing something that I enjoy and purely indulgent to me helps, it might be a long walk in the countryside finding my inner calm again, or hanging out with an old friend I've not seen in ages, or even dare I say it, meeting someone from Fab.

As others have said, it comes and goes, so when it's on holiday, do something nice and entice it back.

We all have those moments, it's human.

Just make sure you don't unpack your bags at that location...you're passing through the phase not staying there.

It'll come back, just give yourself time.

You can't always be sparkly, especially when something is making you feel so sad.

Make sure you have someone to talk to x

Get outside in the fresh air for a while. Do something that makes you laugh with people.
