What sum of money would be enough to call it life changing?

I live alone now, but its rented so whatever the deposit to get a mortgage would be.. think that would be pretty amazing and life changing to me

I would need a big house.. as currently looking for a 5 bed.. hence I said would have to be at least 250k..

Would need to have enough spare for a nice car too

Oh so best add 100k or so as one car always leads to me seeing another I like... lol

and yes I am greedy.

same here

i'd be incredibly gratefull for just a grand at the mo but to be life changing it really would need to be a big chunk like 100k

i have to admit to being a bit of an optomist and enter these competitions all the time but then someone has to win it bout bloody time it was me

£1.54 to enter that comp.. it would add up to a considerable amount of money over time if i entered all the comps id be tempted by.

I kinda like my life how it is in all seriousness, so any money windfalled to me would go on my family. However, my pension is crap and I would like enough to keep me comfortable in retirement if my working days went pearshaped due to this recession. Not knowing what is around the corner workwise to provide more for my old age preys on my mind a little. Not knowing how old Im gonna live to makes it difficult to calculate lol! Given a sum now I'd probably just fritter it. If I retire with about £300k at my disposal so I dont have to sit in a cold room by candlelight - that will see me off this mortal coil.

my monthly bills run to just over a grand a month

so if someone wanted to cover my bills every month my salary would be 'all mine', and i'd be happy

am not a greedy bloke and am happy to work for what i earn, just be nice to have more to stash away for an earlier than normal retirement.

Bradford

£1 5s and 6p

Ooh 1970 all over again, footie for the school junior team, chips with scraps in newspaper

sliding down tip hills on owt we could find, knicking what we couldn't find

sunny days, only going home when we were starving.

Enough money to buy world peace and heal the sick, give sight to the blind - feed the hungry and stop all the hating and killing - enough money to heal the dying planet - or enough to buy 10 pints of Stella and a kebab and the rest can all eff off!!
