Your most awkward interview moments

Sigh.

In the midst of this morning's interview, I suddenly became SO well aware that the manager and I were sat next to the upstairs toilets where an ex girlfriend and I had so much sex. Thankfully those thoughts didn't put me off.

What was your most awkward moment?

I was once a interviewing a young woman for a position, but she'd forgotten to bring some of the documents she wanted to show.

She pulled out her phone to email them to me so I could see them during the interview, but obviously opened something wrong and porn started playing

Going for an interview and the woman doing was the one I'd had sex with in the toilets at my local club on Saturday night

There and to the left a bit

Think the one for me has to be when one of the interviewers nodded off as I was recounting my work history - knew there and then that I was going to be unemployed a little longer!!

When I was asked to complete an assignment and it was on something I had absolutely no idea how to do. It was so awful it was funny. We still laugh now.

Walking into what I thought was a dream job interview to find out the CEO, MD and HR Director were all in their early 20's wearing slacks and cardigans. I was nervous as hell and it put me off seeing them. They were searching for ideas on where to take the company.

Once I was being interviewed and for the life of me I could not remember how much 10,000 police officers would cost. And then I confessed to running through wheat fields.

Had an interview in London once middle of the suummer so just a suit so no outer coat and no umbrella. Caught the tube, had about a 5 minute walk from the station yo the office. And it threw it down, torrential rain, completely drenched, hair plastered across my head suit and shirt sticking to me. And it was ridiculous posh offices (I;d have hated it had I got it), the interviewer looked at me like i was something they'd trod in. It was a very short interview

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I was interviewing someone when it became obvious that they had prepared for an entirely different job. I stopped the interview and asked them about it and instead of just saying they were at the wrong interview they wanted to carry on. That was a very painful half hour.

I was at a job fair once and this bloke kept asking me loads and loads of questions about what was required to get a job at my org, in the end I asked him "why do you want to work for us?" To which he replied "I don't"

Internal promotion interview about 20 years ago.... I was so nervous and sweaty-palmed going into it that my hand slipped on the doorknob as I opened the door and I fell into the room luckily as it was an internal thing they knew I was capable and going arse over tit in the boardroom didn't put them off

Went for an interview for a team leaders position , the woman interviewing me was about five years younger. She came across as she fancied me . Interview went very well pretty much offered me the job. Then insisted I need to see where I would be working ...I said no need but she was insistent. So led me onto a viewing platform and stood close enough ....very close indeed so her breasts were feelable .....I obliged lol she didn't pull away at all .....but nor did I get the job lol

The one on one interview where, when it started, I offered to shake the guy's hand, discovered he was a lower right arm amputee, and was left with my hand dangling in mid air.

Fuck knows what I said to the first four questions...

I had that too.... Made me very uncomfortable.... Found out later when I started the job that he did it all the time... To everyone... Had crippling shyness and severe difficulty in making/maintaining eye contact with anyone.

I went to pour myself a drink of water after the interviewer asked if I wanted one and ended up spilling the whole jug all over me. I just carried on talking without missing a beat and pretended it didn't happen.

Got the job though

It was an appraisal day to become a regional director and one of the directors had a fit of giggles during the final part of the interview process which ended up with him being told off by the MD mid interview. In fairness I don't blame him for losing the plot I was the 12th one that afternoon so his brain was fried.

Didn't get the role but did end up setting up a new project for them instead.

It was very clear that he was shy.

He was sweating profusely and had a nervous laugh.

But it did make it incredibly difficult to talk to someone who was talking to your chest.

There was a panel of 3. One of them showed me into the room leaving her seat vacant. My seat was positioned in front of the panel, but I was so nervous that I didn't see my chair. I went to sit in the first chair I saw which was with the panel. The lady who showed me into the room said, as I tried to sit in her chair with the panel 'ok well if you want to join the panel and interview me....' I was super embarrassed, had a dreadful interview, but I got the job, and the experience was laughed about ever since.

My worst Interview was amongst my first, for a Trainee store manager with Littlewoods, this was 1973! It was in my summer school holidays!

I was ushered into a large room, roughly 30' square, where an interview panel of 3 would conduct the interview.

But seated around the room, were about a dozen more people. Their job was to monitor every move you made, like tugging your shift cuff, touching your ear, crossing and uncrossing your legs, glancing round, shifting in my chair and so on.....

The interview lasted 2.5 hours at the end of which I was asked to wait outside for 15 minutes. Then I was asked back in, where they listed all of my "faults" as identified by the Observers around the room.

They applied some equation to it all and considered me unsuitable due to nervousness! What did they expect? I was 18 & had had only 2 interviews before then!

Yeah that happened to me too. Then this 6 foot blonde with massive dad's came in and she got so turned on she joined in AND THEN this other girl came in, think Megan fox, but hotter, she came in and said "looks like we've got a lively one eh girls?" Then she got naked too and I fucked all 3 of them but not before they called the Amazonian Swedish temp in and I fucked her too.i came in all of them and they all said I was the best sex they'd ever had and then they all leased off on my face and said I was so sexy they all had to squirt on my face and then they all took it in turns sucking me off. Honestly.

Not as embarrassing as most of the ones in here

For some stupid reason I have no idea why at the time, I went for a job interview with lingerie under my male clothes.

I wore nice lacy knickers and stockings and suspenders, to my horror as I sat down I noticed the very visible suspender clips on my legs. I spent the whole interview trying to cover them and not concentrating on the questions. Needless to say I never got the job.

Over the years I had to interview a number of people who'd previously been the ones conducting the interview ,,,,,

The moral being,,,,,, always be careful who you shite on as you climb you way up the ladder......

Not that I'm the sort to hold a grudge.... I just happen to select the best people for the job ,,,,,,

I once went for an interview and as we discussed the job more and more I realised I didn't want to work for them, so told them, thanked them and left. They looked shocked.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I went to the interview and within 5 minutes we had to move as the room was double booked. Half an hour later the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building. I got the job.
