I do believe my trusted telly of the last 10 yrs has gone and died.

I've checked all the leads and everything is in properly.

I learned that last year after thinking it was dying and watching Wimbledon for 2 weeks with purple grass to discover a wire needed a wiggle. Yep. That really happened.

Well, today the screen keeps going stripey then black. I have sound but no visuals.

I may have to leave it off a while, then if I get a picture again, quickly change it to a music channel so at least it's something.

I'm saddened.

The signal panel has gone.

Given the age of the TV it's not a viable option to repair it sadly.

I'm not very technical. My ex husband left the buying of a new tv down to me.

Stupid man.

It said flat screen - I had no idea that tho it would have a flat screen it would also be as you described - 2 ft deep and 50lbs.

There was no putting that baby on the wall - have of it would have been in next doors hallway

Not a new telly sadly. It will be a no telly job. But I can use it for music until it properly blows up!

You'll be amazed at how little dust is collected by the LCD screens.

Maybe look on auction sites for used TV's - people are regularly upgrading.
