100 push ups in 60 days.

So I decided to start doing push ups everyday for the next 60 days.

My plan is to start at 40 push ups in a single set and finish at 100.

I'll be doing 3 sets each day with 7 minutes and 30 seconds break inbetween.

Anyone else has any fitness goals they're trying to achieve?

Aim for 130 push ups. Cause I can guarantee that that extra 30 covers the ones where you didn't do them properly.

Marc did over a hundred push ups yesterday.

He's trying to do some weird push up where you get in a handstand position and then do a push up like that. Looks hard. I was teaching him how to do a headstand (because apparently its the next step in his training for it) and he totally freaked out. It was pretty cute

I'm trying to run two miles without stopping for breath. It isn't going well.

Dudes right. 3 sets of 12 done correctly is much more effective than just blasting endless amount of bad quality ones. Try 2 seconds down, hold for 1-2 seconds then 2 seconds up.. you can experiment with all different times... also why such a long rest period...

I had to look up what those were!

No, I'm talking about handstand push ups (with wall assistance). He's also trying to do a planche push up, but he said that's going to take him a while to build up to.

Why is the quality of my push ups being questioned just because I mentioned the quantity?

I know that slower push ups are harder to do because I've done Sally push ups multiple times before and even though you only do 30 in that exercise they're equiavalent to around 75 regular ones.

The goal is quantity not difficulty of the push up. If I went for difficulty I would do different types of push ups all together.

I hate crunches but I did once do 200 lunges with 20kg bareball after doing squats, I couldn't walk back to the locker room

I can do a few of those but I also can't do planche push ups, or even hold a planche as it is. Thing is it takes a lot of practice rahter than just pure strength

Theres my aim right there! Specially looking at your ass- currently do an intense pilates core workout and about 60 deep squats before bed each day.

I certainly feel it!

In that case I like 50, 40, 30, 20, 10. Great little pump.

In my Thai boxing days I used to do 200 press ups, 200 sit ups and 200 squats every day without a break in between. I'd love to be that fit again. It must have done me good tho, I havnt set foot in a gym for 20 years yet my resting heart rate is still in the 40's.

Yeah. He has this whole plan he's following for each type he's working on. Apparently its the balance that's difficult with the planche. He's building up to it by doing push ups with his hand placement shifted, that sort of thing. Honestly, I have no idea about all this work out shit. I just get to watch him getting sweaty while I eat ice cream. It's hot as hell.

I used to love pushups. Got bored of the basics in the end. Now if I do them I'll superset with flies or hit a medicine ball variation. Those are good

Yeah, they were the basics, add skipping, circuits, sparring, bag and pad work etc etc to make up the average fight class. I felt super human at the time tho.

I'm aiming at getting my walking speed up to 6 miles per hour. Currently just shy of 5.

As I dislike jogging and running, walking quickly seems to be a good goal.

Used to lose some weight when training for fights,5lb a night regular,most of it water no doubt

I always thought that you're suppose to breath whilst running.

When I was in my mid 40's I used to do 92 push-ups in 2 min and 96 sit-ups in two mins - doubt that I could do anything like that now

Add five per day, you'll be at one hundred before you know it.

I'm currently trying to run at least a mile a day for June.

I could maybe do that for 3-4 days but not for 12
